Origami Kinetic Pieces
These pieces are perfect for yoga studios, meditation spaces or any place where chakra energy is desired. The paper the pin wheel is made from contains the colors of the chakras, the beads used for stringing are strung in the colors or the chakras (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet). These pieces can be made with large (approximately 7" in diameter) or small (approximately 3" in diameter) pin wheels or any combinations of sizes and numbers of pinwheels. The three spokes pin wheels are folded from: Japanese Chiyogami-Yuzen paper hand screened silver back ground with black kanji pattern. The piece is strung on stainless steal wire using sterling silver beads and sterling wire, with beads of black tourmaline, black spinnels, snowflake obsidian, labradorite, herkimer diamonds and devil head seed pods collected along the banks of the Hudson River.
This piece is approximately 48" long, the largest pin wheel is 7" across the smallest pin wheel is 2" across.
